Deanna Gaudaur

After living for 15 years in Kenya, I hate wasting valuable fabric, even the 1 inch bits!  I came across this idea of crocheting fabric strips into rugs on the internet and voila, even the smallest scrap gets used up. These remind me of the braided rugs of my grandmother’s day, but are so much sturdier and can be thrown in the washing machine and dryer. Because of the texture, the dirt gets trapped at the door. I recommend placing a non-slip pad underneath them.
