Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory

Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory (Peptbo) is located on Prince Edward County’s South Shore. It is one of the most productive migration monitoring stations in Canada. Every spring and fall, we collect crucial data on thousands of birds as they fly between their nesting sites in the northern boreal forest and their winter homes to the south. Peptbo is a self-funded and non-profit.

Our SHADE TREE COFFEE is grown under the canopy of the Nicaraguan rainforest where migrant birds can find food and shelter. When you choose shade coffee, you are helping to preserve ecosystems that support not only birds but thousands of species of flora and fauna. The coffee is small batch roasted and tastes wonderful. Experience a great cup of coffee while supporting Nicaraguan coffee growers, our migratory birds and our banding station!
