Sandbanks Bees

In 2016, came the vision of two families combining efforts to do their part in bringing bees back. From this vision, erupted Sandbanks Bees, a small, family run business looking to provide the local community with raw, sweet, hive-to-bottle honey. Providing consumers with an excellent source of antioxidants, which can assist in reducing seasonal allergy symptoms. As well as partnering with local farmers to aid in the pollination process of their crops.

In the first year of production, the business was small, producing approximately 500 pounds of raw honey, sold through direct sales and one small retail outlet. This year, the business has now tripled in size and continues to grow, with plans to expand both the line of products and retail locations throughout Prince Edward County, sticking to local roots.

The signature Sandbanks Bees jar is famously known as the Muth Jar, this jar itself dates back to the early 1800s, when Mr. Charles Muth, one of the largest honey sellers at the time, designed and hand-crafted the glass Muth Jar while other honey producers were using tin containers for the honey. The one of a kind packaging makes for the perfect, functional gift.
