“County Murders” ~ JD Carpenter

Saybrook is a quiet eastern-Ontario town – quiet, that is, until a local winemaker dies under mysterious circumstances. When the coroner determines the cause of death to be cardiac arrest, Joe Horn, a reporter with the Saybrook Independent, decides to take a closer look.
Set against the idyllic backdrop of Prince Edward County, The County Murders is one part mystery and one part small town saga, concerning itself as much with the townspeople and their issues – the influx of ex-urbanites converting hayfields into vineyards; controversies over wind turbines and smoking bylaws – as it does with what turns out to be a string of suspicious deaths.
Soft-covered – Published by Cressy Lakeside Publishing, Prince Edward County
