Black Duck Decoy #10 -Signed by Norm H MacDonald – Prince Edward County

This decoy was signed by Norm H MacDonald – a well known farmer/gentleman of The County who was the father of the late Keith MacDonald, a former County Warden, MPP, World Champion hockey player and beef and grain farmer. The MacDonalds lived on their family farm on Athol Bay just north of  Outlet and south of the Sandbanks Provincial Park proper.

 

This decoy weighs only 12.6 ounces. it is black with white belly and turtle back shape most likely made in the 1920s.

-small circular brass eye, damaged beak, yellow circle around tack eye

Underneath:

-rectangular weight with 2 flat screws

-catalogue number noted underside, but not sure who’s it is “82.15.3H”
