These County decoys were bought from a gentleman who lived and hunted ducks on West Lake in Prince Edward County. Most of these ducks saw plenty of water time during hunting seasons. We have done our best to describe them accurately, and the maker of most of them must be the same due to the design consistencies such as the scratch paint pattern. They have the expected wear such as shot damage. To the best of our knowledge they were made between 1850 and 1930 in Prince Edward County.
