4 Mug Set – This is a vintage Japanese porcelain creamer and sugar often associated with the ‘Toyo Ming Lotus’ or ‘Andrea by Sadek’ branding and the design often referred to as “Ming Lotus” or “Lotus” as each of the 8 panels have the same painting of two hummingbirds over lotus flowers. The pottery has a speckle to it.
Has 8 (octagon) sided and a distinctive mark ” BLUE ink with Japan” on bottom of pieces. No chips or cracks.
Upon researching this some sites say this mark indicates the item was made in Japan, likely dating from the mid-20th century. The specific manufacturer or importer is Nippon Yoko Boeki Co., as indicated by the “NYBC” within the logo.
