Lara Charlebois

Lara earned B.A. degrees in both Studio Art (1984) and Graphic Design (2004).  Lara has a broad background in several artforms, and enjoys learning new techniques and in whatever form presents itself. Whether knitting with colourful yarns, or painting scenes found while walking her dog in Wellington, or referencing her vacation photos, she is constantly exploring colour combinations.

Her oil or acrylic paintings freeze a moment in time and often tell an unfinished story of sorts – a time in between the coming and going of life – a moment of rest.

Most recently, she studied oil painting under the direction of the internationally acclaimed painter, Martin Superville, while vacationing on the Caribbean Island of Tobago in February 2025.

Lara also enjoys decorating her baked goods, knitting or crocheting with luxurious yarns, growing giant sunflowers, ochra and tomatoes, walking her Tibetan Terrier in the early morning, and plays ukulele with the County Ukulele Band.  Life has been very good to me!
