Leigh Nash ~ Assembly Press
I’m a literary-minded small-press book publisher of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. And as both a writer and publisher, I strongly believe in building literary communities that sustain and encourage connections between readers and writers.
Short tail: Making books with Assembly Press, previously with Invisible Publishing.
Long tail: Publisher at House of Anansi Press, and prior to that, Invisible Publishing. Course director in York University’s Professional Writing program. Past chair of eBOUND Canada’s board of directors and past board member for the Association of Canadian Publishers. Served as the treasurer for Canadian Women in the Literary Arts, as an executive member of the Scream Literary Festival, and a member of the Meet the Presses Collective. Co-founded a chapbook press called The Emergency Response Unit. Earned an MFA in creative writing, and published one poetry collection, Goodbye, Ukulele (Mansfield Press, 2010).
