Beach Pebble Tales … Pebble Art that Tells a Story

Artist Heather Greig began creating pebble art in the Spring of 2016  after having seen the art form during a trip to Ireland.  Rhonda, who happens to be Heather’s niece,  was already an established water colour artist and helped Heather during the first years of Beach Pebble tales.  Heather strives to recreate a memory…..a moment in time that brings a smile or sometimes a tear.   Their themes consist of sheep in a field, camping, hiking, fishing, pets, families, flowers and on and on.

Collecting all the material used in her art, Heather keeps  it in it’s natural form and colour.    Driftwood from the shores of lakes all over Ontario, pebbles from their local area as well as collections from places as far away as Iceland, Mexico, Greece, eastern Canada and many more countries.  The creation starts with picking up a pebble and beach glass and using her imagination.  Heather creates art on canvas adhering the collected material with an industrial glue.  Details are then added with fine painting giving each piece a finished look while keeping it simple, clean and polished.

Their company is truly a family affair.  Husband, Gavin builds and paints the frames from scratch making each piece of art unique and one of a kind.
