Antique Meissen Porcelain Zweibelmuster Blue Onion Knife Rest

Intricately hand painted Meissen’s very popular Blue Onion pattern on well preserved knife rest. The piece has a unique shape that displays 3 isosceles triangles and one equilateral when looking straight on at each end. One end has a fleur di lis on the middle triangle and the other side has the Zweibelmuster crossed swords mark that indicates that they were made during the lengthy time period between 1815-1923. The rest of the 3 3/4″ length contains 6 sides. Three of the sides are curved inward to support the knife no matter which way it is set down. Three sides have the blue onion bulbs design. It is in perfect condition and just too adorable. A great addition to your Meissen collection or a good start!
