Pair Swedish 800 Silver Knife Rests 1940

Add a touch of Scandinavian elegance to your silver collection with this pair of antique collectable Matsilver Ab Sattuna knife rests  1.7 inches long

Stamped:

!) the present form of National Control Mark started in 1901 consisting of the three crowns of the Swedish coat of arms in a trefoil shape with a striated background (cat’s paw).

2) the National Control Mark is accompanied by a mark with the letter “S” into a hexagonal frame indicating the minimum silver standard of .800.This is the minimum standard, but also .830 and 925 (STERLING) are commonly used.

3) “08” = year – 1940

4) Maker M.A.B.= 1919-1981 Matsilver Ab Sättuna 195 00 Märsta. The town mark is next to MAB, but it is difficult to make out.  Possible a stylied “M”
